Location

If you are flying in, the airport is PDX Portland.

There are lots of lodging options near Hood River, but being a busy tourist town in the Summer, things fill up and last minute lodging will be tough. We encourage you to make reservations early!

If things are booked in Hood River, lodging can also be found 20 minutes away in The Dalles, OR or across the bridge in White Salmon, WA.

A good option some is teaming up with friends and family to rent a house or B&B. A couple good sites to check out are

http://www.vrbo.com/ and

http://www.hrvacations.com/

This can be a great way to go if you plan on staying for a few days and want someting different than a normal hotel.

If renting a house is too complicated, hotels can be booked on normal travel sites for the Hood River area.

It is about 45 minutes from the site, but you might want to consider spending a night at the historic Timberline Lodge near the top of Mount Hood during one part of your visit.  You can Ski and Snowboard right from the lodge in July with rental gear available.  Learn more about the Timberline Lodge here.

A Note About Gifts…

The very best present we can receive is your presence at our wedding and your love and support as we embark on this adventure together! We recognize that especially for those of you coming from far away, simply attending our wedding will already entail spending money on travel and hotel accommodations. We are fortunate enough to have everything (and probably more than) we need for our home. To make it easier for the more traditional gift givers among you, we have set up a honeymoon registry (see link below) as travel is something important to us both.  We’re very excited to be going somewhere new (Fiji) in November for our honeymoon!!
